In his last report on the Science published in November 2015, UNESCO defines axes of improvement for the African continent: There is no doubt that “R&D is now a key factor of economic growth and development. “.
A finding without appeal for Africa
Despite the advances of the CONTAINS, a question remains outstanding: why the research sector has had so little impact on the technological progress in West Africa? Among other things, as factors blockers, the report identifies the lack of strategies and policies for research and innovation, laying down clearly measurable objectives. Similarly, the technological development in Africa seems to be hampered by a still inadequate participation of private enterprises in the process of definition of research needs.

Today it is more and more commonly admitted that the development of the continent not only passes by an investment in science and innovation, but also by the training of skilled workers.
It is in this dynamic that the National Center for Vocational Qualification (CNQP) and Molecules Group FZLLE have signed this Wednesday 12 January a collaboration agreement. This agreement aims to put in common the skills and means to foster research on specific topics such as the development of products or the optimization of processes for the account of a third party.
The CNQP has the infrastructure necessary to the achievement of feasibility studies, optimization (tests, trials and/or analyzes) and analysis with regard to the establishment of industrial processes.
Molecules Group FZLLE will provide equipment semi-industrial for free to perform tests in areas such as:
- – The conservation of agricultural production
- – The cryogenics and refrigeration
- – The treatment of water and aquaculture
- – The use of protective gas for Welding and Cutting
Our Objective: Assist the centers of reference and convergence for the local industrialists.

“The objectives of the Millennium for Development have shown that we can have an important impact on the lives of individuals. “
Ban Ki-moon, General Secretary of the United Nations
There are Senegal to real centers of expertise (Schools of engineers, the Schools for the training of senior technicians, centers of learning, research centers, etc.) which are likely to assist SMES/SMIS and even large firms in their research and development projects.
MG Group wishes to define with these Centers a collaborative framework that would allow:
- – To assist in the taking of decisions of leaders with respect to topics relating to chemical products with high added value,
- – To find synergies, including for development of products and services (expertise, analysis, audit, training, etc.),
- – To participate if possible to innovative projects initiated in Senegal.
